Practice Standards Award

Green Lane and Castle Vets Makes the Grade

We are delighted to announce The Royal Society College of Veterinary Surgeries have awarded a Tier 2 Standards Small Animal Practice at Green Lane Veterinary Centre and Core Standards for Small Animal and Large Animals at Castle Veterinary Clinic. These are the highest awards available for practices like ours.

This is a voluntary scheme of standards started in 2005 by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgery. The scheme aims to establish a quality assurance framework within veterinary practices, to promote the highest standard of veterinary care.

Diagnostic and surgical facilities, hygiene and cleanliness, inpatient facilities, staff training, health and safety are just some of the things that are examined by the inspectors. In order to join the Practice Standards Scheme and become accredited, practices volunteer for rigorous inspection every four years and we will be subject to spot-checks in the meantime, so we have to keep on our toes.
